Very rare short wave radio

In excellent condition

This NORDMENDE Globetrotter 808 is made in Western-Germany in 1972 and it is technically and optically in really good condition, very hard to find a second by this shape. The radio is absolutely clean and free of grease or nicotine residues.

This solid and heavy Radio with his combination from chrome, aluminium and the blue station scale is a very big eye catcher. All inscriptions on the scale and all other inscriptions on the radio are present and clear. All knobs and pushbuttons are as new and work good, the tuning and battery indicator and all the lights works perfect.

The tuning of all bands is smooth-running and exact. The receipt on all bands is very good.

This NORDMENDE Globetrotter 808 has following bands:

FM 87.5 - 108 MHz

LW 145 - 420 kHz

MW 515 -  1650 kHz

SW1  1.6 - 4.2 MHz

SW2  4.1 - 11.0 MHz

SW3  10.8 - 19.0 MHz

!! And 11 SW spread bands from 10 – 80 m!!

This Radio has a 145 cm telescopic aerial. The aerial is absolutely straight with excellent chrome shining and very smooth handling.

The sound from the high quality loudspeaker is excellent; loud, clear and full of high tones and basses. It’s a pleasure to listen this radio!

  A new Euro - US adapter for the power cable is attending.

The radio has following dimensions: width 400mm, height 250mm, depth 120mm.

The radio play’s with 6 batteries in type D, with an external 12 volt power adaptor or over the normal power cord by 110/220 volt. 

This radio is many years old and has normal very small use traces.
